The Ductless Heat Pump Solution
A Ductless Heat Pump is a highly efficient zonal heating and cooling system that does not require the use of air ducts. Daikin Ductless Heat Pump systems consist of an outdoor compressor unit and one or more indoor air-handling units called heads, linked by a refrigerant line. Indoor heads are typically mounted high on a wall or ceiling covering a 3″ hole where the refrigerant line passes through to the outside unit, which is mounted at the base of the house. Each indoor head corresponds with a heating and cooling zone that can be controlled independently.
Duct loss can account for as much as 30% of energy consumption for space conditioning.
Key Advantages of the Daikin Ductless Heat Pump
- Daikin’s Swing Compressor: Daikin uses their own patented swing compressor, which is much quieter, more efficient, and lasts much longer than the normal rotary compressors found in other heat pumps.
- Save energy and money: Install a ductless system and use 30% to 80% less energy to heat and cool your home.
- Have a more comfortable home: An ultra-quiet fan evenly circulates air throughout the room/s eliminating hot and cold spots.
- Low-cost easy installation: Installation is quick, simple and inexpensive, which means little or no disruption to your home.
- Get air conditioning: Daikin systems come standard with air conditioning, so you can get rid of those noisy, expensive window units and swamp coolers.
- Get up to $1,500 in utility rebates: Your local utility might help you pay for this upgrade. Some utilities may even finance the purchase of your new Daikin system. Call them to find out if you qualify!
Features

- Daikin Mini-split Ductless Heat Pumps qualifies for both the utility rebate and the federal tax credit.
- You can put one indoor unit in your main living area and another in the master bedroom which will virtually heat or cool the entire house.
- An Intelligent Eye senses human movement in the room. When you are in the room, the heater/air conditioner works normally. If you leave the room for more than 20 minutes, the unit automatically sets back the temperature by 3 degrees F to reduce power consumption up to 20% in cooling mode and 30% in heat mode.
- Inverter technology allows the compressor speed to gradually increase based on the capacity needed to cool down or heat up the room.

- The unit is extremely quiet. You can hardly hear either the indoor unit or the outdoor unit.
- You can control each of the units separately with a remote control for each room.
- One outdoor unit with 2 indoor units will upgrade your baseboard heaters, wall heaters and ceiling heat without adding new duct work to your house.
